Harnessing the power of compassion, we bear witness to ecological and human suffering, and act skillfully to alleviate it. Ekodo links with the original intention of the Zen martial arts, as the skillful minimization of harm based on the realisation that the whole world is our truest self. Therefore, defending ecosystems, communities and climate action is ultimately self defense.
The three pillars of Ekodo are:
Ekodo is led and hosted by Zen teacher Sean Weaver Sensei, Zen practice leader Jo Campbell, and Zen master Arthur Wells Roshi who each live in Christchurch New Zealand.
